Andrew Heinecke, RN, Care Manager

Andrew Heinecke is a registered nurse and care manager with Eldercare Consult Inc. He obtained his Bachelors degree in nursing from the University of Utah, along with a geriatric nurse leadership certificate. Working in the acute care setting shortly out of nursing school, he discovered that his desire was to serve the aging population and the dynamic healthcare problems that surround geriatric nursing. Andrew worked for multiple years with Christus Health Utah, Saint Joseph Villa, a non-profit healthcare organization and facility as a charge nurse in their rehabilitation unit. After demonstrating his ability to lead nursing care, he was promoted to the position of Clinical care coordinator for the long-term care residents living in the facility. This is where Andrew gained the experiences and knowledge of the Medicare/Medicaid system and the various health care settings that older adults receive care in. Andrew then had the opportunity to become the director of the Assisted living and Alzheimer’s care unit. This is where his abilities to direct the care of client’s with this de-habilitating disease and other cognitive deficits were refined that have prepared him to advocate for special needs clients.
